Biography

Andy “Butter” Morris is the Bassist, Keybordist and acoustic guitarist for Methodemic and is a co-founding member of the band.

He first picked up the guitar aged 12 and started taking lessions at school and his love for music took off from there.

Butter studied music in College and began learning how to play multiple instruments including Bass, Guitar and Piano amongst others. At aged 16 he formed his first band called “Draw The Line” with mates from college and the band played pop punk.

After graduating from college Butter wanted to explore as many different genres of music as he could and played in a number of bands ranging from deathcore to progressive metal. Having no sucess with these bands he joined Methodemic in 2013 and clicked instantly with the other members. After only 2 weeks in the band he jumped into the studio to record the debut EP “Aftermath” which was recorded at Arkham studios (now known as uprawr).

After Andy Dyer left Methodemic the band went on a brief hiatus which was ended when Dyer was repleced by Emily Levy. A year or so later Methodemic went on Hiatus again.

During Methodemic’s hiatus Butter joined the symphonic Metal band Celestial (formally known as Celestial Wish) and had some success touring and recording the album “Ten Times Two” which was supported with shows around the country and Europe.

Butter rejoined Methodemic in 2022 and the rest is yet to be written...
