Biography

Declan “Dec” Moore is the lead guitarist and a co-founding member of the band.

He first picked up the guitar aged 11 and was inspired by his older brother Lewis who was a bass player. He and his brother would jam out on songs by Blink 182, Green Day and Atreyu.

When he was 15 Dec formed his own band with a few school mates called Anarchy 83 which was a pop punk band. The band played a few local shows until the singer decided to leave and the band broke up.

In 2011 the remaining members of the band reformed as Into Valhalla and this lasted until 2013 when Dec joined Methodemic. Initally it was going to be a reformation of Exide but upon hearing Dec’s unique sound the guys decided this was going to be its own band and renamed themselves Methodemic. Dec was with the band from day one until the hiatus and alongside Andy Morris has played on every Methodemic release thus far.

During the hiatus Dec played in the bands Rumrunner, Offshoot, Making The Martyr, Claymore and Trick of The Light alongside his kid brother Kyle who he has been playing alongside for the past 6 years.

Dec’s biggest musical influences are Pantera, Clutch, A7X, Trivium and Killswitch Engage.

Dec rejoined Methodemic in 2022 and the rest as they say is yet to be written...
